Abbadon - Lord Of Avernus

Abaddon was a former paladin fighting with the armies of Lordaeron. Demons sent by the burning legion visited him in his dreams during their initial invasion of Azeroth. They eventually corrupted him, and the paladin became possessed by a thousand demons, losing his soul in the process. He now rides with the Lich King's scourge army as a death knight, battling his former allies in the Defense of the Ancients. Abaddon rushes into battle without fear. It is said that the very forces that corrupted him into an undead fiend also extend his life beyond what's normally possible. They also reveal themselves to the world in the form of an aphotic shield of dark energy which causes them to be unleashed should it fall.
